Brush Strokes and Music Notes is a fine arts program that provides an outlet for all ages to put on canvas their thoughts, feelings, goals, etc. With every stroke of a paint brush, participants release not only create an original piece but also converse about the meanings of what is created.
We are aware of the impact fine arts has in students’ success. A report by the Rand Corporation argues that art education does more than just give students a creative outlet. It can actually connect them to the larger world, ultimately improving community cohesion. A $500 classroom grant is awarded to the winning school with the best play that exemplifies the success of African Americans today and throughout history during Black History Month.
Celebrated in the month of May, National Foster Care Month is a very important month for Incentives For Kids. During the month of May, our organization host weekly events that educate the community on adopting or fostering, provide outlets for parents or hopeful parents through a forum platform, and raise awareness about foster care and adoption.
